CA Prop 65 Warning

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65, officially known as the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a state law that mandates businesses to inform Californians about potential exposure to certain chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

The law requires that consumers be given a clear warning if a product contains any of the substances listed under Prop 65—an evolving list of over 900 chemicals curated by the State of California. While compliance is specific to products sold within California, failure to provide proper notification can result in significant penalties.

The intent behind Proposition 65 is to help consumers make informed decisions and to promote safer business practices by encouraging manufacturers to reduce the use of potentially harmful chemicals.

Proposition 65 Policy

At PowerScape HQ, safety and transparency are core to how we do business. We are fully committed to complying with Proposition 65 regulations and doing our part to protect the health of our customers.

Although many of our products meet or exceed federal safety standards, some items may contain small amounts of chemicals included on California’s Prop 65 list. These substances might be present in components such as product materials or packaging.

To ensure compliance, we provide appropriate Prop 65 warnings for relevant products that are sold in or shipped to California. These notices may appear on the product page, packaging, or during checkout, depending on the item.
